In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Light the Night Walk. In Terry's words, "The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society and Light the Night Walk are personally important to me because in 2013 I was diagnosed with acute leukemia. My condition quickly worsened and doctors agreed that my only chance for survival was a stem cell transplant. I have lived a pretty normal life for my age and enjoy life each day because of my donor, family, friends, and God's will. PLEASE CONSIDER BECOMING A POTENTIAL STEM CELL DONOR by going to BE THE MATCH.ORG.
It's a simple process with a cheek swab. If you have leukemia, stay hopeful and fight for the gift of life".
