Thomas "Tom" Otis

Thomas "Tom" Otis, 77, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in Wichita. Visitation 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021, and service 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2021, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS.

Tom was born in Wichita, KS on May 17, 1944 to Margie (Russell) and Thomas Otis, Sr. They preceded him in death along with his grandson, Clifford Evans.

Tom met the love of his life while working part time at McDonald's. "LOL!" He married Charline S. (Stark) on November 5, 1965. Tom was a Vietnam era veteran, and retired from the Army National Guard. Tom later retired as an electrician. After retirement, he enjoyed several good years and many good friends with the "Rusty Nuts" Car Club.

Tom is survived by: daughters, Penny Roths and husband Steve of Benton, KS, Lalanie Owens and husband Kent of El Dorado, KS, Kimberly McGovern and husband Dan of Benton, KS; sons, Todd and wife Tamela of TX, Bobby Jo of Wichita, KS, Travis and wife Nanci of Leon, KS; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sister, Terry Johnston of Wichita, KS; many wonderful cousins, nieces, and nephews.
