Virginia L. Ohlson

Virginia L. Ohlson, 99, of Augusta, KS, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Memorial graveside service 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2024 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita, KS. Virginia was born in 1925 in Hamilton, KS to the late Ruth E. (Buffon) and Harold C. Colvin. She was a nurse for most of her life and retired from St. Luke's hospital in Missouri. Virginia had a big heart and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the library, and regularly visited and shopped for seniors who needed help. On November 14, 1947 she married Derald Keith Ohlson in Salina, KS. He preceded her in death. She is survived by: son, Robert Ohlson and wife Kathy of Augusta, KS; grandchildren, Matthew Ohlson (Amy), Ammon Ohlson, Eric Ohlson, and Lea White; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Carol Caroll of Cabool, MO; daughter in law, Niki Bassett of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Ohlson; sister, Barbara Price and her husband Johnny.
