William "Bill" Marteney

William "Bill" Marteney, 77, of Augusta, KS, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 at home. Visitation Thursday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and service 11 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita, KS. Bill was born in Wichita, Kansas on April 14, 1944, to the late Mary Christine (Long) and Andrew David Marteney. He worked as a machinist at Boeing until 2007 retiring after 43 years. On October 13, 1978, he married Melody (Livesay) Marteney in Wichita, KS and she survives him. He is also survived by: daughter, Bilinda Marteney of Bentonville, Arkansas; sons, Jon Marteney and wife Beth of Augusta; and Jake Marteney of Wichita; daughter, Mandy Marteney of Augusta; sisters, Susan Smith of Wichita; and Elaine Nickelson of Grove, OK; grandchildren, Desiree, Chase, Abigail, Molly, D.J., and Luke Marteney and Layne and Triten Wilson. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike and Anthony Marteney and a sister, Peggy Noe.
